When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and role (student or coach). If you upload a video we store the video file and any metadata you provide such as weapon type and bout description. Coaches who receive payments provide additional identity and banking details through our payment processor, Stripe.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to, including but not limited to:

• Operate and maintain the platform
• Match you with coaches and deliver reviews
• Process payments
• Send transactional emails (order updates, receipts)
• Improve the service through aggregated, anonymised analytics

3. Video Privacy

Your uploaded videos are only accessible to you and the coach assigned to your review. Videos are hosted by a third-party service provider with signed playback tokens so they cannot be accessed by unauthorized parties. We do not share, sell, or use your video content for advertising or training purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers for core platform functions including authentication, database storage, video hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and optional audio transcription. Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum information necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@fencingreview.com. We will process deletion requests promptly.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@fencingreview.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice on the platform.
